Redruth Rugby is taking over the web: here’s some of the places that you can find us…

Facebook

Facebook

Redruth Rugby’s Facebook page is the most liked, most used and most comprehensive national rugby fan page on the world’s most popular website, and we want you to join in the fun!

The first thing you should do is visit our Redruth Rugby fan page and click on the grey ‘Like’ button at the top of the page. By doing this and becoming an official fan, you’ll receive occasional Facebook-only Redruth Rugby special offers and be kept in touch with the most important information from the club.

Now join in the fun! You can post messages on our wall, and we love to see your thoughts on the games as well as anything you want the rest of the fans to know about! Start a conversation thread in the discussion board on the boxes tab, or post some pictures in the photos area. If someone writes something that you agree with, make sure to click the ‘like’ button beside the content to let them know!

Would some of your Facebook friends like to join the Redruth Rugby Facebook group? Why not invite them! Underneath the main club logo there’s a ‘Suggest to friends’ option: click on it and select which of your friends you want to join you on our fan page. The more the merrier!

You’ll notice that the news stories on this site all have Facebook ‘Like’ buttons on the page after the story as well. If you like the latest mini rugby match report, player signing news or even Dave Penberthy’s latest blog post (heaven forbid!) then why not click on the like button here as well. The player pages also have ‘Like’ buttons, so make sure that you visit your favourite players and like them too! You can see if any of your Facebook friends have liked the story yet, and your friends will also be able to see that you liked the story as well. By liking a story you’re helping to tell the world about the great things happening at Redruth Rugby, so please help us to spread the word about this great Cornish rugby club!

NB: Keep things civil! In addition to Facebook’s usual usage policies, the club will also not tolerate any material which is abusive towards match officials, opposing fans, players, staff members or other similar groups, and will delete any such submissions. Remember that whilst under 13′s can’t register for Facebook they can still read the page, so please refrain from using bad language (and adding ***’s to everything doesn’t count!). Finally, the Redruth Rugby Facebook fan page is a community space, not an advertising hoarding! Unsolicited or irrelevant promotional comments on the Redruth Rugby Facebook wall, photos, discussion threads or anywhere else will be deleted – please keep material on-topic and relevant to the rest of our fans.

On top of receiving all the latest news, competitions and the odd bit of banter, here’s four great reasons to follow @RedruthRugby on Twitter and to get involved yourself…

1. Score Updates

@RedruthRugby is now the fastest place to receive the latest scores both from the Recreation Ground and – more importantly – around the rest of the country too.

2. Post-match Views
Just been to the best game of the season? Why not share your thoughts with the world and tweet your opinion. Tweet to @RedruthRugby and we’re likely to retweet most positive comments, along with the comments from coaches to the media after the match.

3. Player Tweets
Want to know what your favourite players thought about the game too? Over the course of the season some of Redruth’s fine Cornish rugby stars will be letting you know just what they thought of that high tackle, who snores the loudest on the team coach, and whether the new coaches shout as much as the old ones!

All our current players on Twitter can be followed by checking out our Players list at @RedruthRugby/players

4. Tweet directly from this site!
If you’ve just read something on the site and want to share it with your followers, you can now do so without having to leave the Redruth Rugby website at all. Look you the Twitter boxes at the foot of the news pages and you can tweet directly from there.

Whilst we’re struggling a bit to find the time to put highlight videos together this season (PLEASE contact us if you’d be interested in helping out), we’ll be looking to upload more next season and throughout the summer. Keep an eye out for special content coming soon too…

Flickr

Flickr is the world’s most popular photo-sharing service, and we’ll be using the site more to help images from Redruth Rugby reach an even wider audience. Match photo’s will be available there in even greater resolutions than before, and you’ll be able to add yours to the collection!

We want to see your photos, whether they’re of the game, the ground, the fans, or you and your friends having a good time. Join the Redruth Rugby Flickr group and submit your pictures there for all to see, and they’ll end up being featured on the club website too!
